Steak and Orange Creamsicles

After our first date, I floated around on could 9 for a few days in Florida.  I couldn't wait for Tuesday: our second date.  Tuesday was also my first day of work, but I was given nothing to do, so I sat around thinking about our date.  I was just planning to take you to Outback, and maybe go for a walk afterward.  A few of my friends tried to plant seeds of doubt in my mind all day.  Be more creative.  She won't be impressed.  Outback is boring.  I did my best not to panic.  I eventually settled on this idea for our date: take you to Outback, and maybe go for a walk afterward.  I was pretty sure that you didn't feel entitled to anything grand and that you would be glad just to spend time with me.  I was right.  It was a great night.  I guess I don't know this for sure, but I'm pretty sure I could listen to you talk forever.  We talked about our respective first days at work, and about the last time we were at Outback: creative date with the Penley study.  You were convinced that I was tryna holla at some other chica.  Silly Joanna.

After dinner we went to Rita's and got a large, sugar-free, orange and vanilla custard twist.  Sugar-free was not ideal, but everything else was.  We took our twist to go, and went for a walk at Lake Artemesia.  We took some pictures of ourselves being goofballs, and headed back to your place.  Naturally, neither of us was ready to say goodbye, so we sat in my car and talked for a while.  I assure you I have never talked about my feelings as much as in the first few days of our relationship.  What a bizarre experience.  Regardless, date number 2 was a success, and I could tell things were just getting started.
